The challenge
Watching something 'together' across a distance normally means counting down to a shared play button and hoping the streams stay aligned. Every pause, buffer, and seek breaks the illusion. The harder problem is not video — it is keeping two clients in agreement about a single playback position while both people are also talking to each other.
The solution
A private watch room built around a shared playback state: play, pause, and seek propagate to both viewers so the timeline stays aligned when either person interacts with it. Around that core sit live chat, video and voice calling, reaction emoji, mood-based room palettes, and a virtual gifting system backed by a coin balance. Payments are handled through Paystack for African cardholders and Stripe elsewhere.
